Group Information

The FutureBASIC mailing list is a free service to the FutureBASIC programming community, courtesy of associate.com.

This list is available by subscription to anyone interested in Staz Software's FutureBASIC programming languages for the Macintosh. List members include "raw beginners" through published "commercial" software authors; we are all here to ask and answer questions, so don't be afraid to ask the one that's bothering you!

Recent News:

FutureBASIC is now freeware

As of  January 1, 2008, FutureBASIC is freeware. Does this mean that work on the product will come to a halt? Absolutely not. For starters, you will be able to download a revised editor that addresses problems with OS X, System10.5. Also, you will be able to download the exciting new translator by the FBtoC team that allows FB code to be compiled by the gcc compiler at http://www.4toc.com/fb4/.

FBtoC creates Mac OS X universal applications (Mach-O executables) from FutureBASIC projects/source - see FBtoC documentation for more information at http://4toc.com/fb4/FBtoCHelp/FBtoCHelp.htm.

General Note About Freeware - Downloads and their executables are freeware, but the source code and right to distribute are reserved to the respective authors - the FBtoC team and Staz Software (http://www.stazsoftware.com/).
