Anyone know of a way of stopping a Mac running an application on a remote mounted volume when you double-click on a document, and the application is somewhere else on a LAN or WAN. I often mount volumes elsewhere in the country over our WAN, and when I trigger the application, the Mac cheerfully runs, for example, Photoshop 4 at the other end of the UK. I suppose I should be impressed that it works at all, but once it's triggered the application, the only way to stop it is to re-boot, or wait the age it takes to run the program so that I can quit it and mount the correct Jaz disc. Help, anyone ? TIA PMY
