To answer your question (or at least address it)...I'm not sure where 
that would fall technically.  The CD is full of source that probably 
could be considered "public domain" in the eyes of some.  On the other 
hand, only the people who 1) subscribed to Inside Basic Magazine, or 2) 
bought the CD have access to the code...so is it really public domain?  
I'd have to say probably not.

...anyway I'm just a programmer - what do I know about such things...
