Dear list members, Larry told me today that he made available "pdfIdentifier 68k" (1.beta) on his web site. Thank you Larry! "pdfIdentifier 68k" is an example for a lean (11441 bytes) D&D 68k-application made with FB^3. As I mentioned yesterday (post #22175): ********************************************************* "pdfIdentifier 68k" is an application that makes non-Macintosh pdf-documents recognizable for Macintosh "Acrobat™ Reader". This may be helpful for those of us who download pdf-documents from the web that -- when double-clicked -- do not open "Acrobat™ Reader". Most of the downloaded pdf-documents don't have the appropriate creator and type signatures. To identify such pdf-documents, i.e. to give them the correct creator and type signatures, you simply have to drop the documents or folders (even nested ones) onto the icon of "pdfIdentifier 68k". Because "pdfIdentifier 68k" looks for the pdf-header in any dropped file it will ignore all non-pdf files and applications! ********************************************************* The uploaded folder contains: (1) "pdfIdentifier 68k"-application (2) FB^3-project with the source code and its resources (3) some test files and nested test folders Please compile the project _AS IS_! It requires the included and modified Rntm UltraLite.Incl that _only_ works for 68k compilations! It should be possible to compile the code with the original Rntm UltraLite.Incl but this makes the application more corpulent. You may download the mentioned folder "pdfNamer 68k" from ftp://topo.math.u-psud.fr/pub/lcs/fb/DragAndDrop/ (The delivered compiled application "pdfNamer 68k" is copyrighted but may be used freely. It may not be sold. Please consult the ReadMe file and the "code specification"-header of the source code "PI 68k.Main".) Have fun! Herbie ************************ H.Glu@...
