I've spent 28 years in the IT business and my fluency in Spanish has 
helped a lot. Spanish is the native language of many countries and is 
similar enough to Portugese and Italian to be useful in those 
countries (and the Italians will understand your Spanish but you 
might have some trouble the other direction) too. Spanish is becoming 
more prevalent in the US, so this will be helpful if you plan to work 
in the USA. There is much less demand for French, German and other 
languages here in the States.
