thanks for your post peter, i had mailed heather today and slipped gripes
about my inability to do plugins for lochness into the mail .

i had developed plugins in fbII [tedd is still proof-reading a series of
plugin 101s that i sent him and that he never replied to... i might be
inclined to say that if europeans never made any decent software it's
because tedd didn't finish reading the specs :-) [sorry, couldn't resist
that tedd!]].

i'd be willing to pool in all my fbii stuff. it's pretty useless under 3 but
the principal of communication [and of finding, listing and pulling in the
plug ins] shouldn't change that much, so parts might be a leg up for others.

i'd also suggest - strongly - having a demo/locking/unlocking mechanism in
any architecture/api that is developed. this would allow others to make
'lockable' plugins for apps, and encourage third-party developments. i think
that sylvain would also understand this need.

this shouldn't have to go x-fb, it is just as valid a discussion as most of
the stuff that we mention here. we could however agree on a label for
'plug-in' posts, so that those uninterested can filter out... and so that
those interested in 'times to come' have an easy means of finding the thread
in archives, or on the server.
