Our tiny company, Ear Q Technologies, that makes a Pc based self
hearing testing software/hardware app is looking for a freelance
programmer to translate our app up onto the Mac platform.

We've been fully in production and to market for just under a year on
the PC platform (are on our version II) so we know precisely what we
want our Mac version to accomplish.

http://earq.net check out what it is we do and if you feel this is
within your range, or know someone whom it might be perfect for,
contact us ASAP.

Subject: [FB] The AppleTalk Print Server Project Has Begun!

Hi,

Does anyone have sample AppleTalk code? Right now I'm interested in these
toolbox functions:

OTATalkGetMyZone
OTATalkGetLocalZones
OTATalkGetZoneList

http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/mac/NetworkingOT/NetworkingWOT-447.html#
HE

ADING447-0

I want to write a simple app to send text to a print server for printing
using AppleTalk.....I see some raised eye brows, some smirks, some people
gasping.....but come on, we sent a guy to the moon 31 years ago. There MUST
be a way to use AppleTalk! Just hope I don't have to spend billions and
hire
hundreds of thousands of people to do it. :o

To start with I want to just try and see the print server on my
network....then I can attempt trying to communicate with it.

I have set up a web site with more info about my project....
http://www.acmenet.net/~jeffny/AppleTalk/print.html
   (and http://www.acmenet.net/~jeffny/AppleTalk/screens.html)
.....if anyone wants to look and/or make suggestions....

I have some other projects in mind that would use AppleTalk so this will be
a
good learning experiance (I hope).

Thanks,
Jeff-
