Jeff,

Check out Sound Tutor on Bill's http://www.futurebasic.org site ( I think
it is there, by R Hommel)

You need to have callbacks and such going on to avoid skipping, etc.

I think someone else has a newer version. I have the source for R Hommel's,
but not the resource with the sounds in it. I have passed the source on
offlist to you though.

Just last evening I picked up a Performa 460 (68030) and Apple Performa
Plus monitor at GoodWill for $25 total. I had an old ram chip laying around
from when my old quadra was at 20MB, so I put that one into the 12 MB
beast, and it now has 20 MB.

Works fine and dandy. 80 MB Harddrive was in it, and it has Word 6.0 and
Pagemaker on it, and System 7.5. :)

Just nabbed an Epson Stylus 800 for $9.95 too. Some a-hologram nabbed the
mouse for the Performa when I went to get a cart, (the employee was getting
it for me) and would not be convinced to part with it, even though he
didn't have a functioning Mac. Evil.

Anybody with old functioning mouses, or even a keyboard, let me know. :)

I think I may start an Apple collection. Helps for running that antique
software on occasion or for MIDI sequencing.

Now I have 3 Apples. Or 2 plus a clone to be more accurate. One day I will
be modern.

Umax C-600 (603Ev) 3-4 years old $700 new

Quadra 630 (040/FPU + PPC 601 card) $1000 new in 1993-4 including extra
ram. I am still paying it off on the credit card I think. A $5,000 machine.
Sad. Still works great though.

Performa 460 (030) 2001 $12.99 + $9.95 for the monitor. Whatta bahgain.

Pays to wait 8 years. Maybe I can afford a G5 in 2010.
