I have to admit that I have no idea what I mean.  When I bought my modem it
required a hardware handshaking cable, and I bought one labeled that way.  I
could locate the cable and give you a definitive answer (I now use an ISDN
modem and don't have the old modem hooked up), but I think someone else has
already given you the information you need.
