I have been exchanging mail with JSWTC [that name's a mouthful,
do you have a more 'user-friendly' handle?] as he is wondering whether
to buy FB to develop a video-acquisition app.

i seem to remember various video [and quicktime] threads on this
list in the past. if anyone other than jamin has experience, code
or similar but more precise memories than mine, then please inform
JSWTC so that he can make a buying decision before his demo expires.

Similarly if someone is interesting on working on this with him
then contact him and chat things over.
