Only problem is that I'm not sure any more what exactly we've got! I know
there are six main "boxes" plus several smaller ones, each of the big
ones has two, three, or four DEC VAX CPUs, (which are scheduled to be
upgraded to Alphas next year) the "smaller" ones all have one to three
Alpha CPUs. All boxes have 1Gb RAM or better, and the disk farm is around
a Terabyte. Network is a fiber-optic backbone with 10BaseT out to every
desktop, and a T3 to our "corporate" datacenter in France, and a T1 to
the internet. There's also a bunch of HP9000 Unix boxes, a few dozen
Suns, another couple dozen NT servers, a hundred or so VAX workstations,
a couple thousand PCs, and I think we're down to about 30 Macs.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll win this contest... we _used_ to have a
Cray, and I know at least one listmember still does. :-)
