In general (very, very roughly...) you can expect the 68K emulator _with_ 
Speed Doubler to run at about half the clock speed of your PPC CPU - so a 
7200/80 would run "like" a 68LC040/40. Which, if I'm not mistaken, is 
what you had...

However, when something "fits in the cache", the speed can be up to 4-8x 
faster; thus your compiled program probably fits, or almost fits, and 
seems faster. The FB compiler is too large to fit, on a 7200/80. (It fits 
in the 1Mb cache on a G3... :-)
