That's exactly what I expected (and probably why I never took the trouble 
to test it out). I was just curious whether or not they were exactly the 
same to the compiler. 

Alain's posting _seems_ to indicate they are, so there should be no 
difference no matter how many zillions of iterations. My reply 
(privately) to Alain was, "I am constantly amazed at the sophistication 
of the FB compiler!"
