Dear All

(Here's hoping the previous post arrives before this one
or things'll look wierd - part 2 before part 1. Oh well
if starWars can do it...)

Request for Contributions:

I am seeking to collect your favorite 'gotchas', prevention
and debugging tips. The ones that you 'nailed' to your monitor,
or have become your programming creed over the years.

Subjects can be broken down to:
- it's better to code well than Debug
so all tips for good coding practise welcome
- common slips, and sources for confusion
if they can be clearly explained to stop others falling
  it the same pitfalls
- cool debugging and troubleshooting techniques
(personally, has any one found how to Debug mouseClicks?)

If you think I missed something important in these topics -
then tell me so (privately).

Your suggestions will be collated, edited and then proofread by
volunteers (always welcome) and either added to Part One
(as they seem to belong there) or gathered to form Part Two.

The FAQsheet will then be converted to HTML and made available
to all.

Please mail all contributions privately to
<jonathan@...>

PS
Some might argue that it is better to post suggestions than
mail them... I don't want to waste bandwidth until this is compiled
and then everyone can read consult and debate. Sometimes postings
don't receive a clear and satisfactory conclusion which could then
result in confusion, the opposite of the desired effect.
