be careful - remember that the Gif Algorithm is patented
as we have already mentioned. (the algorithm is patented by
Unisys, the name belongs to Compuserve, so that means AOL/NS...)

I beleive (and I'm not sure) that free apps, need only mention
the patent and copyright info, but commercial apps have to
pay a fee.

What happened to those trying to do PNG?
