I have a text file of questions that I have to load and display.
In some questions various codes have been embeded to denote
Superscript, Subscript, Bold and a few other things.
I am after a suitable method of checking the string for the code that
denotes
eg Superscript and then display the question in an edit field

eg What is the answer to 2\+3? (this is what the text would look like)

What is the answer to 2 power of 3. The \ indicates a code, + indicates
power.

instr(1,a$,"\") finds the backslash no problem but how do I split the
string and put it into a stylised edit field with times and superscript
fonts?
